The world-famous Albanian artist, Dua Lipa, has written the story becoming the first Albanian to grab a second Grammy award.
She was declared the winner of the Grammy Awards 2019 in the “Best Dance Recording” category, for her song “Electricity” in collaboration with Mark Ronson and Diplo. She has also grabbed the prize as the best new artist.
“I’m twice Grammy Artist !!! I am very humble and grateful at this moment. I send a lot of love to my fans, my family, my team, all the amazing artists with whom I worked and collaborated. A real dream is realized! Thanks !! “Lipa wrote in Instagram shortly after receiving the award.
Lipa left behind the songs “Northern Soul” by Above & Beyond and Richard Bedford, “Ultimatum” by Disclosure and Fatoumata Diawara, “Losing It” by Fisher and “Ghost Voices” by Virtual Self.
Dua Lipa was the second most heard female in 2018 in the United States and the first in the United Kingdom. The album, bearing its name, “New Rules” and “IDGAF”, has been the fourth most popular album in Spotify in the US last year.
