Why is a pregnant woman’s skin so perfect? Primarily, it’s due to the physiological changes but it’s also happiness and positivity.

We all secretly wish to have that goddess-like flawlessly glowing skin.

Here’s the good news: your wish is about to become reality and that too without having to give birth to a baby. Magic? Nope. The secret lies in adopting a healthy lifestyle.

Sweat It Out

Our lives are getting busier with every passing day leaving no room for exercise but one must find a way to squeeze it in the schedule because exercise plays a major role in staying fit. It helps improve the blood circulation in our body which is vital for a healthy skin and forgetting that desirable glow. Not to mention even sweating is necessary as it opens up the pores allowing the skin to breathe.

We Are What We Eat

Very often we don’t pay much attention to our eating habits even though having a healthy and balanced diet is essential for a healthy glowing skin. Introduce fruits in your life! Especially watery and citrusy fruits and vegetables such as watermelon, oranges, and cucumbers are a must!!

Stay hydrated

Up to 60% of human body is water. Water acts as a natural cleanser purifying the skin of impurities. It also rids the body of toxins, waste, dirt and excess oil. In other words, six to eight glasses of water lie between you and glowing skin.

When it comes to beautiful skin, sleep has to be the closest thing there is to a fountain of youth. For adults 7-9hrs of sleep, every night is ideal.

Homemade Facemasks

It’s always fun to experiment when it comes to facemasks. There are hundreds of combinations out there. You can choose whichever suits you best. There is the infamous Cucumber facemask, Milk, and honey, almond milk etc.

I’m going to share my Grandma’s secret Egg and Honey facemask. Crack an egg, add 1tsp of milk and 2-3 drops of honey. Mix well and apply on your face for 15-20minutes until it dries. Then, wash it off with warm water.

No Makeup Before Sleep

Came home late after a night out with friends and you’re too tired to do anything. You’ll be tempted to just doze off but don’t do it. Drag yourself to the bathroom and remove your make up first. It’ll only take a few minutes.

Your skin needs to breathe over the night and having a layer of makeup prevents this. So next time, no matter how exhausted you are, do not forget to wipe off the makeup before you hit the sack.

Sun Kissed

Who doesn’t love spending their weekends out? A picnic at the park or soaking in the sun at the beach or just a day out with your girls? There is no denying that sunlight is the best natural source of Vitamin D but at the same time exposure to UV rays has its adverse effects. Therefore, apply a layer of sunscreen before leaving the house and don’t forget your clothing accessories.

Time to get your shine on and keep smiling because sometimes all it takes is one smile to light up the room. While it is important to pamper your skin from time to time, if you’re content and happy on the inside, the beauty will radiate through your face. That’s a promise!
